Photographer Sophie Gamand has volunteered for around 9 years at animal shelters and rescues. Gamand flies around the world and films abandoned dogs to help them find homes. One of her most famous projects is called Pit Bull Flower Power, where she showed the gentle side of these often misunderstood doggos to perfection.
In 2016, Gamand was in Anniston, Alabama to visit the Calhoun County Humane Society. She photographed 54 dogs there and most have since been adopted. Yet Gray doesn’t. In fact, a few years before Gamand visited the location, he was brought in there.
